AA3RXM // TOCKINGTECTONIC
This model is part of an exploratory module encouraging discovery through making. This piece is a reinterpretation, reconstruction and recomposition of an architecturally divided English village. The plaster base represents 1970s infill housing and the log, the vernacular historic hosing, natural vs man made. These materials are then reversed for the built elements themselves as the older homes are made from stone and the newer incorporate more timber. Cast into the plaster are contours, water ways, and land use typologies.
